Event Introduction and Description:
Taipei "Welcoming the City God" is the largest event in Dadaocheng since the Qing Dynasty. There is also a proverb "people look at people in 13th May" to describe the grand occasion when the City God procession. “Taipei Xia-Hai City God Cultural Festival– City God's Birthday Festival” not only continues the tradition, but also hopes for the sustainability of the tradition, culture and environment. In addition to being the patron saint of the city, the City God is also the God of justice, naturally very concerned about vulnerable people and protecting social injustice. This time, “Taipei Xia-Hai City God Cultural Festival” combines a series of elements such as fair trade, equal rights for the gays and lesbians, equal rights of menstruation, friendly environment, linguistic rights and the name rectification in remote townships, etc. Through exhibitions, water patrol, bazaar, performances, and lectures, everyone can easily understand, not only having fun, still can also learn about the power of religious legacy and the feature industries of Dadaocheng!
