Introduction：
Based on the belief of Yimin (righteous people), Taipei Hakka Yimin Festival presents Hakka culture from the perspective of the immigrants’ festival. Yimin temples across Taiwan are all invited to participate in this grand celebration. The festival consists of four major events – the ceremony, the parade, the performances and the market. With themed projects and multidimensional, cultural activities, the festival has made Taipei the Hakka culture platform It integrates traditions into modernity, metropolis into villages, and Hakka culture communicates into diverse cultures. “The Deity Welcoming Procession”, “Consecration Ceremony ”, “Major Rites Officiation ”, and “Farewell Ceremony” are held to reproduce Hakka traditional rituals. Four features of the immigrant festival (praying, parade, performance and market) and the Hakka market held with 70 Hakka featured products reflect the features of Hakka culture.
